OMG, my Dad had one of the Erma "Luger" .22's. It was a P.O.S.! Jamamatic to say the least. Parts failure to say another.

I have a baby Erma in 32 ACP. So far, no problems with function or breakage. I've only tried hard ball in it.

I once briefly had a Stoeger 22 "Luger" that was very accuirate but it was a jammomatic.

I do carry some parts for the full sized Erma & Stoeger 22 lugers as well as magazines for most all of the Erma autos shown. TH

I've been doing searches on Erma and Stoeger 22LR replicas and these old threads have been interesting. Back in the early seventies I was looking for a .22 that looked like a Luger. Found a shop that had the Stoeger and the Erma EP 22. I liked the look of the Erma but the salesman said the Erma was junk and pushed the Stoeger so I caved in and bought it.

What a piece of junk that crapomatic was! The extractor hardly ever pulled out the casing, it was basically a single shot pistol. Sent it back to Stoeger and they didn't fix it. A friend who was pretty good worked on it and got it to fire a few shots without a jam but it still was worthless. Funny, it fired more reliably upside down! I finally gave it to him since he liked a challenge.

I've always thought I should have picked up the EP 22 instead but reading threads here it looks like I wouldn't have done much better with it!

I bought a Ruger Standard Model 22LR which was terrific then sold it and got and kept a Ruger Mark I 6.75" in 1975, a Mark II Target 5.5" in 1985 and a Mark III Target 5.5" in 2005. I'll never sell those three Rugers! (Or my genuine Lugers)
