All,
Just recieved a very nice LP-08 from Peter Dunster. The holster is marked on the bucket exterior 8.K.401.9. which is a conundrum. Any thoughts? Tom A |

Tom, the "K" opens lots of possibilities all of which are shot to hell by the "401". Is it an ink stamp?
On another subject, I know that in the past in the British Raj and in present day Arabia guys took big game by coursing with salukis and cheetahs. I understand that you are doing it with a jaguar. I always thought they were too slow and ornery. |

Geo,
Not an ink stamp; stamped into the EXTERIOR of the bucket face. Agree, the 401 is the problem. Holster is dated 1915 and has an ink bekleidung stamp inside the bucket. My Jag isn't slow or ornery, just snaggled toothed at present. |

It could be a mis-stamped marking? 8th Company 401st Regiment ?
