Default My Luger Needs

I am looking to purchase a copy of the book entitled "Mauser Parabellum" by Francis C. Allan, published by A K Enterprises in 1985. Tried other place on the net but not luck. Hope I have better on the LugerForum.

Also, picked up several import Luger from AIM when they were available. I would like to convert one that has a reeeeeeeal bad bore to 7.65mm Luger. Anyone know where I would be able to purchase a 7.65mm barrel 120mm long (4.75 inches) contoured like the Swiss Luger barrels?

One last question, I plan to replace the springs in the AIM import LUger with Wolfe's. Which ones should I get for reliable operation and minmum wear and tear. I will be shooting 9mm NATO loads (124 grain bullet at 1260 ft/sec MV) and 7.65mm Luger loads (93 grain bullet at 1130 ft/sev MV).

Thanks for the help.

Doug,

Gun parts corp, and Tom Heller both offer 6" .30 cal barrels with the P08 type front site, you may be able to take such a barrel and re cut it closer to the swiss style, and re shape the front site base... barring that Tom did buy out the Interarms stock and may very well have a 6" swiss style for a long frame.... hope this helps, FGR

Doug, I can't help you with the swiss style bbl, but I can install one of the shorter 30 L bbls for you.

Out of curiosity, do you have a good source of .30 Luger ammo should you convert to that caliber?

Hi Doug

I have a swiss m29 barrel , how much is it worth to you?

There is quite a difference in the loadings you listed, and I dont thing you should have the same recoilspring for both loadings.

Aaron, I handload all of mine, there are good buys on 30 L brass on ebay right now. I believe 30 Luger ammo can be purchased from Old Western Scrounger.

Default My Ammo Supply

Aaron,

I got about 1325 rounds of Finnish manufactured 7.65mm Luger in a deal. I believe Samco Global Arms still sells this ammunition. Also I have seen advertised by Midway USA and Widener's Reloading and Shooting Supply, Inc. Winchester new unprimed .30 Luger brass. Midway' price is $110.49 plus shipping for a box of 1000 case. Widener's price is $139.00 shipping included for 1000 case. Bullets are a different matter. Have not seen .30 caliber 93 grain FMJ bullets advertised but I am still looking. Might have to cast them.

Doug, Old Western Scrounger has a variety of bullets for the 30 Luger and Mauser, including 93 gr FMJ.
