Identify 1910 DWM Marking
I observed a 1910 DMW that had markings I could not identify on the grip. The markings were xix 38. Sorry I do not own the gun, althought it is for sale, so no pictures are available to me. The xix were fairly tall letters and close together actually touching each other and a smaller 38 number next to them. I do have identification books but could not identify these marks. Help would be appreciated. Are these rare or just nothing? Thank you DZ

Hi Zim,
It translates to 19th Armeekorps Stab waffen (staff weapon) 38. In other words not assigned to a specific unit. How much was the asking price? Ron
