I have a 1906 AE luger which is not exactly collector material but it is a good shooter, however 30 luger is not economical nor is it easy to find. can i buy a slide already barelled with a 9mm or do i have to buy a 9mm barell and install that my gun. it would be nice if i can keep original parts intact but...... any input appreciated,
thanks, mac |

If you want to keep the original parts just bore and chamber it.

Mac,
Buy a barreled receiver and interchange them, most of the time they will fit and function ok. I have run into a few that were too tight, but if you get a DWM or Erfurt and not a Mauser receiver to match the DWM frame you should be ok. ![]()

Mac, Even if your M1906 is one of the early long frames, a standard PO8 9mm barrelled receiver should work. You may want to also change the recoil spring over to 9mm, if you plan to shoot it a lot, to avoid any damage. TH
