Default Prayers for Marvin Cook Family

Marvin's Wife Sherry lost her Sister's Husband and the funeral was yesterday. Today her brother is going into Emergency surgery for the second time after a somewhat routine surgery a few days ago. Marvin is extremely concerned and the complications are very serious! Lots of Prayers for Sherry's brother are appreciated! He is a good friend to me and I hope all works out with her brother mending fast but we need help with prayers. Thanks! Ted

Default Never underestimate the power of prayer

Marvin's family and especially his brother-in-law are indeed on my prayer list... and I will pass on their circumstances and name to the same chain of folks who held my family in prayer during our crisis last month...

I know that lack of cancer in our daughter Amy last month was an answer to our prayers and the prayers of our friends like the folks on this forum...

I cannot count the number of times in my life where a diagnosed disease or medical condition has vanished without any other explanation than being an answer to prayer.

The power of prayer is awesome... Life is short.. Pray Hard. God listens...

I would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. It has really been tough on Sherry. Her brother-in-law was a nice guy!

Her brother is in the hospital also and as I write this is having emergency surgery again to repair a leakage from surgery last week. he is not doing very well and the prognosis is not good. If he does recover, the process will takes months. Sherry's family is very close and she is taking this very hard.

Again, your thoughts and prayers are the only thing that will help now.

Marvin

In my life I have found that the only way to find peace, balance, and joy is through prayer and good friends. I, today, have learned that I have many, many friends who have joined together to help me in my time of much needed prayer. You will never know how much your response means to me and how much I appreciate your friendship to Marvin. Having lost both my parents at a very young age has given my brothers and sisters a sense of closeness that I have come to cherish - it also gives cause for great sadness when we feel we are facing a loss of any one of those members. I know in my heart that your prayers today have helped me to be able to rest tonight with the knowledge that my family is intact for at least one more day! He is doing as well as can be expected and it is a day by day situation right now. Thank you, sincerely, from the bottom of my heart.

Although you probably wouldn't be interested in anything I would ever post on this forum (most of my mails are "blonde jokes")I want you to know that I feel I know most of you by association - I also, as Marvin like to tell me, know enough to recognize any new "members" of our family!!! Please take care and maybe one of these days I will meet you guys!

Love,

Sherry

Ted,

Sherry and I have already discussed this and I think she will make it next year to WOL. She is always ready to go and will have a "blast" with the other ladies.
