Default John D. & "WTF"

I just read John's comment about the postings on this Forum concerning dealers and other FORBIDDEN posts! I have to agree with him that this Forum has adopted these rules to keep down "Flames" which can spread fast, cause many hard feelings and a bad reputation for in-fighting.

The rules have been adopted to eliminate these problems and they WORK; only if we follow them! By having the authority to remove postings that may have offensive or possibly legal problems for the Forum, we can keep this a clean site for all to enjoy.

I just re-read the Forum Decorum document and actually learned a few things I did not know or remember reading before. If anyone has NOT read these rules, or it has been a little while, read them again!

The entire board does realize everyone forgets sometime or new folks may post a "forbidden" topic, so don't get upset if a post is deleted, it is part of keeping this Forum fun for all and open to all to discuss Lugers and it's related accessories.

READ THE RULES!

Default Thanks Marvin....

I really appreciate your support and comments. As well, there are other issues that I have to address in operating this site - those of libel, slander and defamation. Now - a person can post something, and not view it as "libelous" - but it really doesn't matter what they think, it is how those comments are viewed by the person/business they are talking about. If that person/entity feels they are being libeled - guess who they sue?

Now - I could take the combined revenue that this site provides, and invest in liability insurance and legal support - but I'm afraid $0 doesn't buy me much. And until someone feels strong enough that they "have the right" to post "anything at all" and sends me a monthly check to offset those expenses for protection (which is about $1,650 per month for a typical $2 million insurance policy - plus legal fees if there is a claim) - then folks can abide by the TOS and Decorum. They protect both them and me (as much as they can given todayĆ¢??s propensity to "sue anyone for anything").

Anyway - sorry I got a little excited this AM - but having been down this road before, the scenery looked way too familiar...

Default "WTF"

"What The $%^&?"" is my guess, but I naive!! I thing this is a sign of frustration from the site owner that we are not understanding this is not a forum for this type of discussions. The forum decorum is clear and I feel we should abide by it. I think if you look at all the other positives this forum has to offer it is worth it! Thor

Default Well - I could have.....

used the "word" rather then the TLA - or I could have said the "F" stood for "Frank"...

OK - I owe you another $1 - BUT! - You just better be there next year so I can hand it over....!!

BTW: I hope our little jokes never go over $1 - I'd be broke...!!!

Best to ya', Frank!!

Thanks John, I was getting worried that I missed something. I am going to guess that since I have to enter my name and email address, the system is not perfected, or else I can read the hand writing on the wall.

Default Also....

Are you saying that you have to enter you e-mail address and name each time you post? The Board "Cookie" (it is stored on your computer from this Board) should remember you from one post to the next...?? If that isn't the case -can you check your Browser settings and see if "Cookies" are "enabled" and that your "Privacy" setting are set to "Normal"..?? That should fix it for you....

(Now you'll owe me a $1 for TECH support, though )
