Post Luger or Lahti Holster...?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...&category=4078

Advertised on e-Bay as a Finnish luger holster, but I seem to recall running across a photo in one of my books that nail this holster as a Lahti holster...darned if I can find the right book/photo now...

Regards,

Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />

Pete, the holster is pictured on page 40 of Eugene Bender's Military Holsters of World War II, the thinner book with the price guide in the back.

Hello Doc,

Thanks for the find in the E. Bender book.

The reference I had in mind I finally found in Jan Still's book on Axis pistols, on page 312...again showing the holster to belong to a Lahti...

Regards,

Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />

Gunman, The early M23 Finnish luger holsters have provision for a cleaning rod to fit beside the spare mag pouch and the longer barrelled Lathi will not fit completely in this holster. Later Finnish Lathi holsters were also used to carry the Lugers that they rebarrelled to 5"x9mm. TH

Guys,

I am still perplexed about this hoslter...

The dimension on this holster from the bottom of the magazine pouch to the barrel-tip end of the holster seems too long for a 4" P-08...IMO

Regards,

Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />
