Nice to learn of a Mustang sailor joining the officer ranks. I wonder if his diving carrier lead to his early death. TH

Definitly a factor! He died years later of lung cancer and smoked Camel all the time, up to his death!! He also was a stand in and technical advisor for Lloyd Bridges in 'Sea Hunt'!
