Default adaptor..

Someone made an adaptor.. and it would be totally illegal, too.

Hi Orv!

May I ask why you say so? I know why I have my doubts, I'm just curious about yours

My doubts (offered entirely FWIW) are centered on the shape of the holster/stock. Luger holster/stocks tended to be longer in the neck than C96 stock/holsters.

Warm regards,

Kyrie

The Luger attached to it in the picture appears to have an adaptor and since it is not an original accessory to the pistol it would be frowned upon by our regulators (feds). However, a good broomhandle stock and holster is not that easy to come by (if it is orginal). Interesting item.

Hi Bill,

I don't know - it looks to me like just the stock attaching iron. Let's remeber that stock/holsters were original equipment on some Lugers. The question is whether this is one such original stock.

Best regards,

Kyrie

Hi Guys,

I had the seller send me pictures of the yoke. It is a very crudely done "shade tree gunsmith" job that shows no craftsmanship in addition to being illegal.

Good Morning Kyrie,

Always gratifying to be of some small service to this august body. Hopefully will be outta El Segundo and back to East Coast soon...these 4 month plus TDY assignments are wearing thin.

I wrote and asked the guy if the Artillery pistol shown would fit into the wood stock...Maybe? But from what Tom says it won't. I trust Tom in his judgement. By the way Tom let me know when you want your Imperial type 1 Navy Holster back! I will leave for my summer home in CO. on the first of May and if I don't hear from you I will take it with me and send it from there. Thanks Jerry

DWM made a brief run of LP08's with a wooden holster/stock, but there is no mistaking the stock for a C96 holster/stock.

John,

Sure wish I had one to post. I have seen only one of the stocks, and that was a few years back. Look on page 95 of Kenyon's Multi-National book for a picture of one.

John, I have one of those shown on page 95 and will post a pic as soon as my Granddaughter visits me with her digital camera.
