Default Interesting Historical Photos

Although not all of these photos are related to military action, most are, I thought they were interesting, hope you do too.

Some interesting pics...I liked Rommel pushing his car...

The WW I submarine control room was mind-boggling...

The pic of the V-1 stirred my memory...Years ago, one of my supervisors at Kimberly-Clark was raised in London during WW II. He told me that the V-1 was called [by Londoners] - a 'London Taxi'...I was puzzled by that, but he had an old clipping [almanac page?] showing that -

In the first four years of war British casualties (including P.O.W.'s and missing) were 387,996. The number killed and injured in traffic accidents was 588,742.

Droll people, the British...

Lon,

Great pic of the B 32 assembly line. It was a back up to the B 29. The US Navy used them as long range maritime patrol aircraft in the Pacific.

No, it's Consolidated's Fort Worth Plant. My bad, the B 32 was only operated by the AAF. I beleive they also built the B 36's there post war.
