Default Luger info

My head is spinning from info on this site and the internet. I have a family member wanting to sell this gun. They took the pics so sorry for the quality. Was brought back as a war trophy. It is a 9mm. Any info would be appreciated

Mike, welcome to the forum. I am from WA state, near the Tri Cities.

I cannot make out the date, but assume its a 1911, 1912 or 1913?

Made by the Erfurt govt arsenal.

Yes 1911. I am western WA. Unfortunately, this is where the work is for me. I play in your side of the state every chance I get

This gun was brought back by my Uncle's close friend (my uncle didnt make it) and given to my family along with a luftwaffe dress knife, a german flag, flashlight and two of the.. kaiser helmets. The ones with the points on top.

Looks like a very nice early Erfurt Luger. Shouldn't have much trouble selling it. You didn't ask about value nor did you say if it was all matching, however assuming that it is matching except magazine, I'd ballpark it around $1500 give or take.

It is all matching, including the clip and holster. Unfortunately, the holster has a family members initials in the leather. I am curious on what it would sell for as my relative is going to sell it.

See if there is a story in it, as I am collecting for vol iv

So, would the matching clip and holster add significant value to the gun? Also, anyone know of any collectors in Wa or Oregon that would purchase? Assuming that it is ok to post such a thing.

Yes. The matching mag and original holster add value. Post it here first at maybe $1,700 - $1,800, (assuming all matching and original finish), or so and you will have interested parties, (not me as I suggested a price).

The gun appears in superb condition for an Erfurt.

Good Luck
