I have a Navy Luger that I wish to rebarrel to the existing caliber which is 9mm.
Who makes a decent 9mm blank nowadays? Straight taper is ok as I will contour myself, thinking about a 7 1/2" Navy contoured barrel result. Normally I would just put a Remington 30 caliber barrel on in 30Luger or similar, but came into a stash of 9mm brass...........so....why not I said to myself. |

Rich,
Thanks for the reference to GM. I have used their 17 cal and 22lr barrels from Midway with good results. A lot of work to turn them down to sporter, but went ok, seems to be de-stressed appropriately, did not experience any hard spots. Did not know about the 9mm gunsmith specials, looks like a deal; especially the 1" model. Rick |
