Identification question
I am new to the Luger Forum but not to the world of Luger's.
My father had a 30 Luger w/6" barrel in the early 1940's which I shot many times.. He taught me how to field strip the gun for cleaning, I never forgot how.. In 1960 I bought my first 30 Luger, a DWM with a 4" barrel. Throughout the years I have gathered up a couple additional 30 Luger's, some holsters and a lot of articles from magazines. I have never had my guns looked at by a professional, and/or someone that is knowledgeable about Luger's, so I am a little in the dark about what I really have. The pistol shown in the pix has serial #14xx.. The clip has a wood butt-cap.. Maybe someone on this forum can help me? Bill |

Hi Bill, Welcome to the forum! We are going to need close up photos of the markings on your gun to tell you what you have. From the photos you have posted, all I can tell you is that you have a Luger, probably made by DWM, and that it has been refinished. Regards, Norm

The images are not clear, but It appears to have no chamber date or proofs on the right side.
