Still's book is a sample of s/n's among collection pieces. It is not an indication of the upper s/n limit. Still simply had not seen one as high as yours when he compiled the sample statistics. It appears the Portuguese contract went at least to 2600n.

My byf42, sadly now a paperweight, has the serial #808n - which means that every piece has the last two digits, 08. Neat, hey?

BTW, if nayone out there needs an aluminium-bottomed magazine #6570t, I have it! Made by fxo, it is almost mint.

Congratulations on the new addition, if possible send some pictures. Is this a found it, bought it, out the door or a sought after deal taking a while? I know the up feeling when I get a sought after gun or addition to my stuff. Definitely nice.
