Default Marvin

Given your number of shots to get a photo on the website, how, in simple jargon, might one attach a photo? And I do mean SIMPLE!

Thanks,

Milt

Milt,

I had to send the photo to Ted and he was the one that got it posted. Maybe Ted can give us a course in photo attachement for "Dummies".

Default Milt & Marvin - Some Help Uploading Photos

At the top of the main discussion forum page there is a link for uploading photos. when you take that link, there is a browse button that you can push that will allow you to select the photo file from your hard drive and upload it to the forum.

Once the upload has been completed, it will give you the Web URL address where your photo is located at the forum.

Simply copy the URL and paste it into the space provided labeled "Optional Image URL:" below where you put your text when you make a post.

When you "Post Message" the photo will appear with your text.

Be sure and read the directions on the UPLOAD page about the requirements for the filename.

That's all there is to it. Pretty soon you will be competing with TED on how many photos you have uploaded.

Another method is to use a graphic file service such as Photopoint.com They allow you to create an album of your favorite photos and store them for free. You can then refer others to the photo album or to individual photos.

Do a search of the archive for "Photopoint" and you will find another set of instructions that I gave someone else on how to use that method. It worked for him without a problem.

regards,

John

Default You can do it Patrick, just read the instructions that John D posted

on the upload page. There is an 80K limit on the file size, but the system works fine. Your macintosh should be no limitation on this procedure.

I hope you have some really neat photos to share. How about some photos from Georg Luger's shooting club?

Dok. Sorry for not answering earlier - affirmative - it was originally from Kornmeier´s archive and has been used extensively by any number of journals. I don´t know where K. got it from but he certainly wouldn´t mind your using it.Patrick
