Post Technical Info

Two requests, please. Heydrich, would you let me know where the parts list for the 98K is?
I meant to keep it but didn't and need it now. And would someone please provide me with a link or a copy of an exploded P08 parts list in Geman? Thanks for you assistance.

(Being a Color Guard coach for a High School ROTC today is interesting. First ceremony is at 0700, last one tonight is at 2000. Some folks need to be shown the results of failed diplomacy by demonstrating the effectiveness of
a gun)

RK,

Is this original to you... or were you quoting someone else?

I know I will have occassion to repeat this, and want to give credit where credit is due...

That was a paraphrase of George Patton from the book "Patton" written in 1964. I'll get the exact quote whenever I get home tonight. Just got back from a ceremony, the guest speaker was Mr. Durant from Blackhawk Down, he was the pilot captured & held 11 days by the bad guys, gave a very good first hand account of the two guys who were awarded the CMH. Big heros. Smoking guns in the sun. Bad air day.

Sure RK, I’m glad to help.

Here is a link to the K98k home page:

http://home.thezone.net/%7Ek98k/k98kframe.html

On the left side menu click on “K98k RIFLE”, and then you can either select “View Image in German” or “View Image in English” for a complete part’s list in either German or English. I find the German version very handy to have around. I get to impress my friends and family by calling the rifle parts by respective German names.

Here is a Sarco link for ordering 98k parts, if you should happen to need some:

http://www.sarcoinc.com/m98.html

Have a nice day.

RK, if you have John Walter's book, "The Luger Book" (1986) look at pages 15,16 and 17. There is a photo breakdown and a listing of all the parts in english and German for the Luger.
