RP Portuguese Lugers
Anyone followed the Poulin auction the last few days. There were over 40 RP DWM Lugers, Mauser banner Portuguese Lugers and a few other Lugers in the mix. Most, if not all the Portuguese were in terrible condition; mismatches, pitted etc. The prices were absolutely stunning. I paid $750.00 for a RP Anchor Luger. Mismatched barrel and receiver. Other parts matching but not a pretty Luger, but for $750.00 that is absolutely unheard of. There was a VERY nice, probably 92% 9mm commercial sell for $1900.00, and others including a Navy in the same price range.

I think you bought the one I bid on.
I believe $750 for a luger with "issues" is enough; and of course having 40 of them in one auction drove the price down- they certainly did not appear to be rare on sale day. JMHO.

I think I saw the same herd of RP Lugers on Proxibid and posted the link to the search right after posting a link to the raft of '06 frame Mauser Parabellums that were also auctioned. There aren't tens and twenties flutterng in my wake when I ride the M/C--like that Geico guy who is "made of money! So, no bidding for me this time around...
