Post Cannablized Luger

I have been given the upper (cannon) of an s/42 Luger in very good condition which someone has chromed!

I am reluctant to discard it and would like to acquire a lower (frame and parts) of another s/42 to mate with it and have chromed.

Other than Numrich, is there another (cheap) source of Luger parts?

Thanks for any help.

Hello Mr. Watson,

no, Sarco sometimes has parts, Tom Heller has parts, you find Luger parts on Ebay.com on auctionarms.com and gunbroker.com but all three are searched by others of the same ilk and prices are only every now and then cheap. I assume you will get an e-mail or two from members and this was a good start to post here,

And if you decide to "discard it", then I'll send you a postage paid box.

Welcome to the forum.

If you would rather have the chrome/nickel removed try http://www.apwcogan.com/ in Florida. I have a chromie Erfurt there now to be stripped and refinished. Good strippers are hard to find, LOL.

There was a luger frame on auction arms about a week ago. Looked good.

I guess you've never been to kiddvett's neck of the woods then herb. Excellent quality "strippers there"! <img src="graemlins/offtopic.gif" border="0" alt="[offtopic]" />
