From what I can see, which is not all that much, a WW1 9mm Luger converted to police duty. Non-matching mags. Value in today's market? I'll guess around $1200 assuming the gun matches. Ed?

Is there a cartouche branded into the grips? If, can you provide a close-up?

Your Luger is marked EWB on the grip. Indicating issue to "Einwohnerwehr Bayern" [People's Militia of Bavaria].

This was a People's Militia formed at the end of WWI in Bavaria to defend against the lawless rampant unheaval that took place. Looting, Gang warfare between Criminal gangs, Communist and Anarchist factions.

This Luger Rig would be considered a fairly desirable piece amongst some collectors. The 'cross axis' numbered magazine also has some value. It is a very early production example. Is the tool and / or holster marked also?

Value is subjective. Without a hands on, inside out inspection of the Luger and accessories, I'm going to refrain from offering a value. Possibly another member would like to make an estimate. It is a not rare, but is a not often seen variation.

$1200-$1500, as the market is light right now. It has two magazines, but they don't match and the mag on the left appears overstamped. Also, it very much depends on if all the parts match, ie. the last two numbers of the sn must match, if not, then probably $900-$1000 for everything.

An Imperial police that has been converted is not worth as much as say an unconverted imperial.

The EWB definately adds value, however, the market is small for something like this, compared to say a imperial marking on the grip strap.

I don't have one of these yet, looking for anything in trade or parts or?

Looks refinished to me, but I am faaar from the expert

Rounded edges on the breach, and extractor
Clearly defined metal finish on the breach but numbering are not that clear.
Bottom of the stamping are all black more that I like.
No wear on bluing on the slide at the right from the trigger plate.

Please educate me I am learning. Here is the pic to be clear.
