It is a 1915 artillery. Do all numbers match?

What is on the toggle? If erfurt, then it is a mismatch, as erfurt did not make 1915 artillerys.

That does seem to be an Erfurt toggle - I can make out the "ER"...

Still a very nice looking artillery. Perhaps not collectible, but an attention getter at the range, or a show...

Edit: Fine tune rear sight, but no setscrew on the sight base...Is the front sight a fine-tune also??? (I think I can make out the end of the front fine-tune screw sticking out)...

Look at the rear sight, just in front of the blade...See that round head with the two tiny holes??? Now look on the right side of the front sight...Do you see another round head with two teeny holes??? That would be a fine-tune front sight...

FWIW, I've seen aftermarket artillery rear sights on GB with no setscrew on the front corner...(too $$$ for me)...and there seems to be at least two companies making artillery barrels...again, big $$$...

I am no expert on Erfurts...But that toggle lettering looks awful...and the toggle number is almost nonexistent while the crown and lettering is fairly deep...

I believe that the toggle marks (Erfurt & Crown) have been altered or changed. The crown is unlike the example shown by Postino... and also doesn't compare to the Erfurt Toggle on my own Artillery.

The crown is complete, but the upper curved parts are not the same as postino's genuine toggle, or mine for that matter. Notice the missing part of the top crown on postino's? That same part is missing in the stamp on my erfurt... yet the crown on this artillery doesn't have part missing, and it is dated after my 1914...

I don't have time to research the evolution of the Erfurt crown stamp over its lifetime, but I don't believe that the broken crown stamp was replaced before Erfurt quit making Luger parts... perhaps one of the Erfurt or WW1 specialists among us, could verify that no Erfurt toggle produced after 1914 had a complete crown?

The two digit serial number on the toggle is also very light compared to the other marks I have seen on similar toggles.

I DO see the rear sight notch on the receiver ring.

IIRC all Erfurt receivers have the rear sight notch, both LP08 and P08. The proofs on the right side of the receiver will determine if it is an Erfurt or a DWM receiver.

Notice also that the radius cuts on the top edges of the toggle are almost non-existent.

Very reminiscent of parts made in Pakistan where original stampings were often copied as well.

Looks like a heavily buffed DWM toggle to which someone has added a poorly executed facsimile of an Erfurt arsenal marking.

The only tool that should be used to adjust these types of sights is a screwdriver type device that has two appropriately sized pins spaced to fit the screws. Anything else will likely damage the screws.

Sorry but I do not have any magazines for sale, only the ones with my Lugers. If you need magazines, go to the for sale forum and contact LUGERDOC. He normally has magazines for sale.

I hadn't read about the Pakistani copies of the toggle...Although I believe that Lugerdoc wrote in another thread that there were copies of Navy toggles with the repro Navy rear sights available...so maybe Erfurt copies, too...

Don't know how that fits with getting the Luger from your father though...

My father , he was a war veteran and this gus was leray from a grandfather also he was in WWll...Im be proud if what I holding now is the real...but all above thing it's my honesty to say this is my inherit.
