Got to meet Ed!
Evening, I just got in from Colorado Springs, beautiful area, (had a cadet take second place in an air rifle competition at the Olympic center), called Ed Tinker, he was only 20 miles away. Met him at his new lodging in Castlerock, very nice place, he took me out for a great steak dinner, showed me his guns and impressive police Luger collection, had a great time. Thanks again for the hospitality Ed. I hope I can return the courtesy one day.

rk, glad that you could visit Ed's state and city. The place is beautiful with a capitol BEAU.
My daughters have competed in figure skating many times at the World Ice Arena in Colo Springs, which allowed my family to have an excuse to spend as many weekends in the area. Come back whenever you have an opportunity.

Wes, one of my daughters has competed there also twice in the last two years. A great place and event.

Just got in! I flew from Castle Rock (Denver Airport) to Spokane Friday night, stayed the night then my wife and started the 1200 mile trip, went well till Saturday evening then snow and ice hit us. Drove all day Sunday, yet only made 400 miles headway (horrible road conditions, I was in 4x4 all day), then blizzard conditions hit us, and we had to stay the night 50 miles north of Cheyenne (wife didn't want to check out the gun show in Sheridan, WY ) Anyway, clear and roads finally opened around 9 AM!
So, enough rambling, it was really nice to meet RK! This forum has made it possible to make many friends and being able to have dinner and talk lugers was the highlight of the week! Thanks for the great chats and dinner talk RK!! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" /> Ed

Ed....wished I know, my son is in Sheridan, and 4x4 all Sunday to get to his ski lodge, said he did not attend the gun show, works right across street from it, as it is most times a bust....that and dad keeps him in guns and ammo. You know I have never seen you collection, perhaps next time I head up that way....OK!
