replacing ejector help
Hi, have a 1915 DWM mismatched shooter with a chip missing from the front/forward part of the ejector . It's right by the raised portion or nipple that looks to be what does the ejecting. That raised portion is intact and the weapon functions fine. I was thinking about replacing the ejector and looked at the instruction contained on this site. It doesnt look that difficult to do but was wondering if there are any suggestions as to potential problems either removing or re-installing ? Does it even pay to do it ? It seems to be only a cosmetic issue for now and on a shooter who cares right ? My concern was it might get worse so if no big deal and not an expensive part why not do it ? Feedback and tips appreciated as well an approximate price for a replacement ? Thx, Remember 9-11, ESU.

ESU,
It is really no problem. Don't lose the punch down in the hole.

ESU,
Do a search on ejector replacement, I went through the same thing here in the last few weeks and there is some information there which you need to know before continuing. My particular problem was a broken ejector, but I have also had one in the condition which you describe, which had no effect whatsoever on the actual function of the gun. I would say check the previous thread, and then don't replace your ejector unless it really fails. --Dwight |
