Pleasant surprise
I was doing cleaning and maintenance on a byf 41 P.08 and found this under the left grip plate. Unusual name and with the internet found info on his burial. A voice from the past reminding me of the war trophy brought home. Thought I'd share the surprise.

Being able to connect your Luger to a specific individual is terrific. It would be even better if you can learn more about his military service.

Interesting.
Klein Hesselink is a last name with a Dutch origin. It's a family name from the mid-eastern part of the country. United with his wife in 2014. He fought in Belgium around Antwerp in D-Battery, 126th AAA Gun Battalion, protecting the town against V1 attacks with AA-fire. |

Thank you Gerben for the research. Could you tell me how you found the information on Ring?
