1937 Mauser P08 ceased the rust blue and straw at 1500t, but what serial number did the frame hump and internal gussets improvements begin ?

Hi Alx, the 1937 Lugers with strawed small parts with the hump began about 2500s and ceased about 3000t. Hope this helps!!

Thank you , it does help. I wonder where the 1500t serial figure I had came from, as far as source documentation.
That 1500t serial was provided by someone on one of these two main Luger discussion boards. By my remedial arithmetic skills, that would make about 8000 or 9500 produced with the rust blue, strawed parts, and frame hump etc. changes. Of this range, would it be known how many and what serial numbers were logo stamped with Mauser, the "banner" ? |

Alx, my math says about 10,500 or so. You realize that some of the parts in the later stages of this production range were hot dip blue. The key is straw small parts with the Mauser Hump.
I don't have a clue regarding any Mauser Banner toggles in this range. |

Alx,
Jan Still's database shows the transition from rust blue to salt blue. http://forum.lugerforum.com/showthread.php?t=11017
