Magazine Match to your Luger - LIST 2
I have decided to start a new listing of the Magazine Match Listing, simply because so much of the match list is ancient. I do not have most of the magazines anymore on the old listing and assume many members are the same.
Willing to trade for like item (or always trade for Simson's) or trade for wood based in nice shape and original. I have four mags that may be of interest to others. I would trade any one of them for a mag marked 5555p, straight eagle 63, for my 1939 s/42.
Pictures are included, below. All of the blued/aluminum base mags are straight eagle 63 (this mark is more difficult to discern in the pictures); the nickel/wood base has no markings and was part of a "package deal" for a 1939 holster and a straight eagle 63 tool. Any info that the more learned on the board (i.e, damn near everyone, I suspect) can provide to me regarding the nickel/wood mag would be greatly appreciated. From what I've gathered, I suspect it is an early commercial mag, but really don't have a good idea as to value. All mags have strong springs, seat properly in my s/42, and appear to be in good, used condition with no defects. In other words, it looks like they've all been loaded, inserted, racked, shot and removed in the normal course of life without any adverse incident - they are not pristine virgins, but veterans that are still ready for action. To summarize what you'll see in the pictures (top to bottom in description = left to right in group shots): * Nickel/wood, no serial #, acceptance stamp or other markings * Blued/aluminum, 8551v +, straight eagle 63 * Blued/aluminum, 5360s +, straight eagle 63 * Blued/aluminum, 3840r, straight eagle 63 (note - I'm not 100% on the suffix; I first thought it was a "p", but looks closer to the "r" in the exemplars provided elsewhere) |

Can I make a request in regards to this thread?
Please TYPE IN the numbers of the magazines you need and/or want - don't just rely on posted pictures. This makes it VERY easy to search the thread for a given number once it becomes long like the old one did... BTW, would like mag #9465 (no suffix) for a '40 "42". Not gonna find one, but I'd like to have one! |

Just a reminder, if you report SE/63, remember there are three varieties. SE/63 for 1937 & 1938, SE/63M (M for medium) for 1939 and SE/63L (L for Large) for 1939. It's IMPORTANT.

Looking for an WW1 Erfurt magazine with serial number 1863 h. I purchased a Luger recently that was supposed to have a matching magazine but somehow it got switched. It would have a wood bottom. If you purchased a Luger with this mag from Collectors Firearms in Houston within the past 3-4 months, please contact me.

pappers,
A black plastic bottom fxo would be the correct magazine for your 42 byf. Plenty on Ebay for $175-200. |
