Post Some East German Pistols came in?

http://www.gunboards.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3309

Not cheap, if they were $299, I'd have bought three of four, heck you can buy them cheaper from other places?

Hmmmm...Navy model, new rear sight, new barrel...now we know for whom that load of Ersatz navy toggle sights were made. Throw in a couple double saw bucks for some "restorer's" steel Crown M stamps, and presto, a $3500 gun.
Its a jungle out there, Kiddies..

We are just going to have to teach people how to distinguish phoney navy rear sights from the rear ones. People will have to really examine navy lugers real close to make sure that all the numbers are exact and properly placed. This just about kills Weimar Era navy Lugers for any collectibility.

As for this killing Weimar Navys, don't be too fast there...this is just going to make the game a little tougher and make the players pay closer attention.
As I have stated before, buying Navy lugers is betting on your knowledge, recognition skills and judgment. Be very good consistently or be broke.

Tom,
you are right. But I worry about the new people coming in. Many times there just isn't anybody to ask. New people just don't know what books to get and sometimes the good books just aren't good enough. The new people are the life blood of anything collectible. There doesn't seem to be enough people like Pete, who is a real student of Lugers. Thank God for the Forum.
