Default german auction house

www.hermann-historica.com has an incredible amount of lugers for sale...click on (revolver und pistolen)....navies...banners...krieghoffs...all look like new...they have to have been refinished...????...an interesting german site...must be tough to get them imported...

Looks like some very nice pieces.

I get the impression that the Germans (in Germany, since I'm here) do not mind a perfectly refinished piece? Any insight or opinions?

Default refinish

They don't seem to care if it has been reblued..but they really go nuts over the bore. Guns are hard to sell over there if the bore is not good.

Default Hermann-Historica Auktion 41 is OVER...

Auction 42 is still going on but there is only one Luger, a 1912 Erfurt that has a lot of pitting...

If you want them, Better download the photos from Auction 41 while you can... They won't be there too much longer...

I think the only reason that Katalog 41 is still posted on their site is to allow bidders to see what the items eventually sold for...

Been there, done that so to speak. Bernard's reservations and Orv's comments are right on the money about this. Some may be right, but most are as commented, I really have never seen any true bargans here when all the cost are calculated.
