Magazines and stocks
I have these two artillery lugers a 1917 & 1918. One (1917) is all matching numbers, the other is all matching except for side plate.
The 1917 has a shoulder stock and snail drum. Stock is period Correct but non matching serial number. Snail drum is is also period correct. Im looking for 3 things to add to these two Lugers. 1) Neither have wood bottom mags so Where can I find proper mags. Collectors firearms has a couple at $200 to 250 each, is that a good price? Did not notice any listed at Simpson. 2) Would like to add a stock to the 1918. A period correct stock seems hard to find. Should I purchase a replica? Simpson has a Odin stock (no leather) for $475 or about that. Found a stock with leather holster at Northridge for $275. Is that a good replica or poor quality one? 3) What about a correct loading tool or cleaning rod. I have no idea what is real or not. The cleaning rods range from 120 to 275 on ebay. Any suggestions. Thanks for any suggestions. Stan |

Ebay has scores of magazines - Vance Hallock has been selling his fathers collection, i think he still has wood bottom mags (find his postings on ebay).
I can't tell you if a good price unless i saw the mags. But that seems high to me. |
