Default New guy with a G code

I purchased a 1935 G code Luger with serial 2589E from Simpsons. All parts match except mag and possible grips, mag is re-stamped and grips have no markings. Listed as 80% blue and 60% straw. I have lots of experience with and have several 1911A1 pistols but I'm new to this arena. I haven't got the pistol yet, it was on consignment and marked down from $2750 to $1485. I think I did well but kind of scary. Thoughts?

Hi Glenn,
Welcome to the forum! If it helps any, most G dates had unnumbered and unmarked grips. If the condition of the grips is consistent with the rest of the gun they are probably original.
Regards, Norm

Welcome to the forum. From what I see, you did just fine for your first Luger. Be aware, they are very addicting.....sort of like 1911A1s!!
