Police holsters
Hello.
I know values are a difficult question. How ever I was wondering if any have a general idea wether or not police marked holsters are more valuable then WaA or other markings. A few times I've come across militaria dealers who sells holsters to prices which is quite high. But on the other hand they don't seem to differ between markings. So I have bought some holster with police eagles thinking they are rarer then others. This goes for P08, Sauer M38 and Mauser M34 and HSc holsters. Also some Kriegsmarine markings are proberly much rarer then WaA. So - as a general rule - will it be unfair to suggest a 50% premium for police holsters? Ketil |

no, I find it the opposite, that army holsters go for more?
brown are worth much more than black, army holsters (certain years) are worth more than other years, police holsters are in between. However, like everything, Condition is the over-riding factor. I had a really nice 1941 police holster, and I just couldn't get the price I wanted, yet I beleive if it had been a really nice army, it would have sold for more than I got for it?? And I am now looking for a nice 1937 or 1936 or 1938 army holster I sold my 1937 at Reno and now have a nice 1937 without a holster! Ed |
