January 2020 Lakeland Gun Collectors Show

Date not announced yet, supposed to be third weekend in January. I am posting now so you can make plans to attend. It is at Sun n' Fun (horrid name I know) in Lakeland.

This is the best show in Florida. No crap about "ooohhhh oooohhhh No private sales". Great selection of cool old stuff along with modern.

I generally estimate that a typical show down here has maybe 20% (tops) of the tables with stuff that interests me. The percentage for the Lakeland Gun Collectors show is probably closer to 60-65% maybe even a bit higher.

I understand that this show will fill two buildings. Dunno 500 tables? More? Last show I got a Police marked Dreyse, a very odd and amazingly underpriced (

) Luger and a 1914 US Naval Boarding Cutlass (!!).

Do not confuse this with the Florida Gun Shows effort at the same venue.

I have nothing to do with this show, I just like to see good things supported.

I'll update as info comes to me.

Bradenton? Man, you are right around the corner. I know I sound like a shill but after the crap you are dealt at Florida Gun Shows this show was a breath of fresh air. Free parking and they actually had a jitney to bring to to the venue from the far ends of the parking lot.

I'll stop now, I'm getting weepy

It is the best show for collectable vintage weapons in Florida, but bring a good flashlight, the lighting is terrible.
