Can't imagine you didn't see a lot of repros to choose from at the gun show. You can get a pretty decent one for 35 to 40 bucks.

Re: Repro P 08 Holsters
Hello all;
I bought a black repro off of e-bay. It is fine, but I'd rather have an original brown one or a black one. And it probably is pretty original, being very stiff and hard, but I like the "oldness" of an older one to match my shooter that I have. The repro fits tight and a bit too tight for a spare magazine, the stichting started to tear a bit as I forced the magazine a bit too hard! I did order an original one from Russia, that might fit my bill, but we'll see, Good luck, Ed |

Re: Repro P 08 Holsters
Bill,
If you want a nice repro holster, take a look on the Links & Resources section of the Forum. The comnpany called CMR has the best repros available, and you can get them in brown. The cost is going to be near $70, but they are the best repros I have seen and well worth the price. It will have to be ordered from England, but shipping is pretty fast. Marvin |

CMR
I ordered one of their repros of a Navy rig. It took about 10 days and is very nice. The leather is quite heavy and the stitching looks to be top quality. The only complaint is it smelled of mothballs but that soon aired out.

Re: Repro P 08 Holsters
As a side note to this thread, I received a catalog from Sportsmans Guide last week and they have a full Artillery holster rig (less wood buttstock) for $80. I ordered one of these last year and the quality was better than I expected! It was made in India and did not smell like a dead buffalo, just like quality leather. The only part that was not the best was the "boot" for the stock; it was a little thin to me and the stitching was was not correct. But, for the price, I was well pleased with the rig. I have an Artillery Luger with an unmarked holster that came back at the end of WWII, and a nice shoulder stock I purchased so the repro WWI type rig looks good with pistol.
I don't have the Sportsmans Guide website address with me, but if you do a search, you should find them. I can recommend the holster highly. Marvin |
