Post Luger Journal.....

A friend of a friend (you know how that works ) found out I am into Luger collecting - and sent me a raft of original "Luger Journal" newsletters from the 60's and early 70's, which I received yesterday. Amazing. Some of the research has been lost or was wrong - while other research from that period has recently been reprinted in Luger books as "new" research... Does anyone know more about the original "Luger Journal" newsletters? I find them fascinating reading...

BTW: as I'm going through them - how about a Krieghoff 99% at $350..??? My, my, my - how times have changed...!!!!

Hi Ed..

Yes - they are pretty good! (Which is why I went off-line last night - to do some more reading.. )

Anyway - each journal covers a particuliar piece as representitive of a specific variation - some of the earlier journals have no pictures, but starting in the mid-60's, they started including pictures of various Lugers. Also as interesting as the Luger prices- are some of the "ads" listed in the back from folks like Charles Kenyon, etc. who are looking for specific pieces....

Of course - the $0.04 stamps on the back give an indication of the inflation rate..!!!
