Default Go Forth All Ye...And Scour The Land!! :)

I NEED MAUSER STOCKS!!!! I am in need of any old (pre 45) solid hardwood (Walnut Mauser rifle stocks! The only part I need is from the trigger slot back...or the buttstock portion...the condition can be grade III, from bad to worse...the only criteria is that the buttstock area is not split...oil soak is OK! I pay 10 bucks a stock, and shipping.....So, all of you guys that are tired of lugging grade three stocks to the shows, I'm your man! The most desirable ones are the early K98k stocks....I don't know why, but they seem to exhibit the best color and density! Can't use Swedish stocks...to soft! If you have any, drop me a note! Thanks to all! till...later....G.T. Just got done with the last batch of bottoms from some stocks dated 1912..... when the BLO (boiled linseed oil) hits them, the result is just unbelievable!!!

The past two weekends in Denver shows a seller has a table covered with about 100 stocks, many mauser. Unfortunately, the next show is in about 6 weeks. I have seen him at other shows--if he shows up this weekend in Colo Springs, I will get his contact information.

Figures, I've got a Swedish Mod 96 stock and forearm. I've also got an M-1 Garand stock in very good shape and a P 17 and a repaired P14. I found them in the basement last week.

I'm not really attached to them. Trade anyone?
