Magazine Questions and one for the Luger Doc
A few questions about some mags I acquired with a byf 41 serial number 4939, block p with SE/655 proofs. I know they are not correct for this pistol. I see that the correct mag for my pistol would be a type 4 blued extruded body, aluminum concave center pinned body, fxo code, E/37 WaA. Would anyone have any photos of what a type 4 mag looks like, I would like to obtain 2 for my pistol.
I'd also like to know some history about the two mags that came with my pistol, who made them, year of manufacture, what the correct pistol would be for these mags and there value. The question I have for the Luger Doc is if he would have the replacement parts to fix the loading pin that is broken on the wood bottom mag. I would like to bring it back to it's original form. Any help on these question would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Chris |

Chris,
Your magazine #679k would have been issued with a 1936 S/42 Mauser Luger. Tom |

Chris, I agree with tharpo that your alum bottomed mag is from the 1936. It's difficult to say exactly without more detail, but your wood bottomed mag #?187+ is probably a WW1 DWM military mag. TH PS: I do have unblued follower buttons available @$15 + $3 S&H.
