Default Phising scam!!!!

This morning I received an ebay "message" it was a bit vauge, looked real as all get out, asked for my password. I typed it in and then it went to ebay. we nt to my ebay message area, NO message. I IMMEDIATELY changed my password.

So, point is, I was a security IT guy for years and I got hookered, so be careful out there!!!!

It has happened to me too Ed... sometime last year... but I vow it will never happen again, and I have been in Computer Security for decades!

You'all be careful out there.

I receive these fake Ebay emails constantly. I run them all through SPAMCOP. Easy to stumble and make an error, though.

I used to get the real poorly made ones regularly, then they stopped for about a month and started back up, with one so well damned made, it just looked 99percent legit. Only thing that jipped it for me was a teeny one letter spelling mistake on the bottom of the ebay letterhead thingo. Just doesn't happen on legit documents, and it wasn't in my ebay. I don't even bother these days with ebay emails unless i know i'm bidding on something, or watching it etc. If it's not in My ebay, it's just, not ebay. I toss em quicksmart. If only there was a way to block them permanently?
