1902 Cartridge Counter, SN 22448 & SN 22449
Well gents and maybe ladies....I own a 1902 Cartridge Counter, sn 22448. A few of you have seen the pictures and know it to be in exc condition and the real deal (not a fake).
Well, the Rock Island Auction this weekend has sn 22449 for sale. Oh boy, I want that one. To have a pair and consecutive serial numbers would be great....but cash it tight and I just cant swing it. Dog-gone it!!! For those of you who have seen their catalogue, mine is in better shape than theirs. So, I hope the darn thing sells for a lot of money, at least 50k, to make me feel better than I really couldnt afford it. I know Im just ranting and venting, but if you had a chance to own 2 Cartridge Counters like this you might too. I guess I just really like the guns although Im probably better off buying a couple Carbines or something or a few something elses. Argh. |

22449 was sold by Little John's Auction in 1999, so perhaps in another 6 years it will come up again.

Any idea as to what it sold for in 1999?

Sorry, no. I didn't see the results of the auction.

Hello Argh,
If I remember correctly, it fetched about $33k including the auction house commission. I had the opportunity to examine this pistol and I was not really impressed by its condition. I shall be 'floored' if #22449 sells for over $40k. My Luger is #22439 and you can view it on my web site below. And the show goes on.... Cheers, Albert |
