1938 Holster Questions
I am still very new at collecting German militaria so I know very little. recently purchased a 1938 dated holster to go with the S/42 1938 dated Luger I purchased last year. I just want to make sure it is legit, correct for my pistol and possibly get a value on it, to see if I paid too much. It is black with white stitching with the following markings on the back. G.GENSCHOW&Co.A&G over BERLIN, an eagle with swastika and WaA286 under that and the date of 1938. The tool that was in the inside pocket is marked with a stick eagle and 655. Everything is in super condition. I tried to post pics but gave up after about an hour.

Pictures are probably to large, once you learn how, it isn't that hard.
Send them to me. Value, well, depends on if it is original or not. legit, correct, well, again, depends on what type and if you think it is right, it would b e wrong if 1. a police and yours is a army 2. wrong if a repro Ed weimar_lugers@verizon.net

Thank you for posting my photos. My Luger is an Army pistol with the proof marks on the receiver and under the barrel. So Iwas hoping this holster would be correct for it. Josey

Josey, Sweet little holster my Friend! Looks collector grade although I cannot see the inside. If all is right there I would say it is a $400+ holster with an additional $65-85 for the tool.

Thanks Ed and Jerry. I gave $350 for it. So I guess I did okay on the price.
