Default Real deal or aftermarket question....

Acquired a 1939 42 code Mauser

It's a gem, appears to have never been in a holster.
Pictures to follow as I upgrade photography.

Question..... two magazines', one mismatched,
but clearly numbered and stamped....no mystery.

The other, unstamped, unnumbered anywhere,
is it a real deal, or an aftermarket ?????

The above 3 pictures are for an after market mag IMHO
BUT
I reserve the right to be wrong.

I am inclined to agree.
it's the knurled cartridge follower depression button
that's causing my doubt.

That is a Mec Gar magazine, still being made. The dead give away are the dual base pins and the black plastic Navy style concentric circle base. Looks like an older nickle mag. The new ones are shiny chrome or blued.

It does look like a MECGAR, although mine have concentric shaped followers, not cross-hatched.
It is also stamped "MADE IN ITALY" on one side and MECGAR on the other side.
($35)

All of my MecGars have the checkered stud. The far left mag is a Erma mag not sure who made the wood bottom one?. I recall lots of old (20 year old) Mec Gars were not marked.

Gentlemen

Thank you all for your knowledge share and rapid response.

What I posted is clearly just an older example of an aftermarket magazine.

Best regards,
Leonard
