Default Test Luger

Had a nice gun show this last weekend and met a young gentleman who mentioned he had a American Eagle and believed it was a "Test Eage"

I knew before going to look at it that it had been reblued and had some mismatched parts.

It was more buffed than I wished, the eagle is very light, along with the DWM, but it is a Bannerman number and is now in my safe

.
just some Vet Bring Backs - I almost always sell 1 to 3 sets of them at a show

The last four shows I have been too, folks are looking for ammo and although I hate the term, assault type weapons.

Hi Ed,
Nice find; I have 6391. Just 82 guns apart.

Nice looking pistol Ed! Other than light markings on top it has a nice finish.

I was delighted when Ed told me of his find. It is a new number for the data base and a Bannerman to boot!

Good thing she found you Ed, I know the two of you, along with the others, will be very happy.
Congratulations, it's a Bannerman!

Beautiful and in good shape I would say! I have a 1900 "American Eagle" too, one of these days I'll post a couple of photos just to see if anyone in the Forum will be able to tell me something more about it.

Italy, never made it there! Supposed to be beautiful! I lived in europe for 7 yrs, loved it.

Yes, please start a new thread, tell us about your american eagle and maybe you know the story of how it went from export from Germany to the USA to Italy?
