It was assigned to Telegraph Companys "7" The very sharp bayonet pictured below is an 'S 84/98na The "S" in the designation indicates a saw-back. Sawback bayonets were issued to troops involved in areas of battlefield construction such as combat engineers, artillery troops and Telegraph and Telephone troops. Included is an all matching telegraph buckle and matching uniform shoulder insigna "Telegraph Bn Company No 3, 1899 Coblenz"! All part of the George Anderson collection~ Thank You~Just how George brings it all together over 100 years is truly amazing!!! My tribute to a legend!
