Post Testfired the VoPo

Hi,

Went to the range with my S/42 and the VoPo to see if and how they performed. Shooting quality is excellent for both of them, but some small parts need some attention.

The ejector spring on the S/42 was fatigued and must be replaced. The VoPo performed very well and only had a firing pin locking bolt that needed replacement.

The quality of the East German barrels is excellent. I'm not a fan of the 02/1001 postwar magazines and neither were the guns. They performed best with early-1930s non-extruded magazines.

Both guns were fed rather spicy S&B 115gr. Small parts weaknesses will show very rapidly using this ammo while good quality parts will eat this ammo without any problems.

My conclusion:
DDR barrels: Good.
DDR magazine springs: Baaad.
