*SOME URGENT HOTEL INFO*
Hi Guys,
We were just at the hotel this morning and they are getting frantic about room booking. There are two groups (a Mustang club and a Jehovah's Witness group) that want more rooms and our block is the only batch that still has places. They are cutting our "book by" date back from 7/24 to 7/12. In addition, those two groups have sucked up just about every other room in the area for that weekend, and if you don't book under our block you might not find anything else available. I urge you to call the hotel right away and book your room for the August show.

Let me know if you have any questions.
See you soon.........I hope!

And if someone has a box of .22lr FMJ, I would be very interested. Military or commercial. I'd give around $50 for most of a box--but I'm not sure that the mustard could be cut, for that price? I might be dreaming... Would anyone be able to give a ballpark figure for what something like this might sell for?

That's an actual copper jacket, with the lead pressed inside??? Not gilded/plated/dipped???

I'd like to see those...

Right-o Rich, copper-jacketed round nose!

I've never seen any in the flesh, but I heard Israeli commandos used them is suppressed, specially-configured Rugers up until the 70's. When pestered by guard dogs or inconvenienced by sentries... I have only seen pics.

Something tells me finding any is a very long shot.

I usually see one or two of those .22 FMJ rounds at cartridge shows, but I've never seen a box. I have seen single rounds go for as low as $2 to up to $25 each.

Go to post #429 on this thread from Rimfirecentral: http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums...232659&page=29 The thread kept these guys busy for about 5 months in 2008-9. The original poster is the inventor of the .22 lr FMJ, or a process, or...something. I've had his site bookmarked for almost 4 years...no sign of activity. He's supposed to be South African. It's interesting to see how the conversation progresses. It digresses a bit at the end, into .22 lr reloading, which we've just finished kicking around here.

*edit* I just found a pic of a box of the military version of the same round: http://www.talonairgun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=18533 The projectiles look pretty long, I'll bet they're the 60 gr range.

What I wrote the other day:
Had a really nice time today, since i was working, I ran out there, stayed an hour and a half and headed home. Met John there, always good to see him.

Bought a full sealed box of 1944 9mm (I sealed it in shrink wrap, so it reflects)
The guy had the wood crate, I tried to buy that, love those wood crates! He had another box, that the end was ripped off and they were selling the boxes separate. I just bought the one box. 52 boxes in it

Some early 1905 45 ACP ammo and some WW2 45 ACP Trace

Some civilian 45 ACP shotshell, I have seen and have some military, but couldn't resist this box #6 shot

Very nice box of 7.65mm Luger Peters

Default Since we are on Ammo brands and types...

I have an old DWM 9mm bullet that was in my grandpas collection of his rings, ribbons and other personal items. I would imagine he brought it back from his time over seas towards the end of WWII.

There was also a trench art lighter with the proofs on the bottom RA 42. I never really tried to find out an info on them. But I am curious about the DWM 9mm shell.

oh, the 8 does not mean month?

I thought it meant month, unless some lots in 1917 and 1918 were HUGE?
