The pickelhauben look like artillery. Can you tell if that is a Saxon or Garde plate on the helmet?

It's a Saxon Wappen. They are wearing pre 1910 Tunics and, as Ron noted, they seem to be without full spike. The Pickelhauben are a mystery.
