Hi Dan,
The drums in the photo look like Type 2 Bings, the most frequently faked. For some unknown reason the serial numbers of all these fakes add up to 17. They also have small chemically applied rust spots as shown in the photos. The Bing loading tool visible in the photo if genuine is worth as much as a drum. Authentic Bing tools have a seam running lengthwise under the handle. I hope this helps. Norm |

Thanks for the reply. I believe these are probably original, based on the other guns in the sale (over 100), and learning this guy was well known by the local gun collectors and bought only the best.
Now to learn the difference between an original and a repo. |
