Default help?

I was left this Luger when my father passed away and am trying to find out information and value? I came across a lot of very information on this sight. but still have some questions?
1) manufactures logo: my Luger has a " DWM" engraved but nothing else? the images shown in the tech. page each had some sort of design in addition to the DWM.

2) I learned that my luger has the stamp denoting it as a " German commercial proof" so that would place it between 1906-1914 ?

3) I also noticed that each piece has matching numbers.

I am hoping that those of you with so much more knowledge on this subject may be able top help me.

Your photos on Photobucket can't be seen by many members. Please send them to me at

lugerforum @ gmail.com so I can evaluate your pistol and I will be glad to post them for you on the Lugerforum server so that all members can see them.

Here you go Matt,

These are stored on the Lugerforum server now:

Your Luger IS a commercial variant. Perhaps one of our early Luger collectors can provide more detailed information based on your photos. They might require you to post a couple more specific photos. If they do, please try to use the Lugerforum photo facility to upload them into an album of your own... if you have a problem with this new forum format and your photos, just ask for help.
