Default Yellow substance everywhere after shooting

So after two days of shooting and a thorough cleaning in between, I noticed slivers/specs/powdery yellowish substance (I'm thinking from the casing crimp) all over my magazine and in my action as well as my grip area. Is this the result of the cartridge crimping as the casing is ejected from the luger and the yellowish stuff is the shavings or objects removed from the cartridge casing during ejection/extraction?

Your discharged cases should tell you if something is shaving the brass. Using 0000 steel wool polish some of your loaded cases. Then shoot them and look them over. Most auto's that I know of do slightly scar the brass. But it shouldn't be excessive. Bill

Yeah I mean I figured out the brass that's in little shavings or powder that's spread all over my gun internals is from the brass crimping. It seems pretty excessive and a bit annoying. Any ideas on what I could do to stop it or could it be just how mine was made?

Are you sure it is not powder residue? What kind of ammo?
