Default Range report

I took my new franken-Navy that I got from Hugh to the range yesterday.
It easily out shot the Browning Hi-Power that I also took. The first shoots were taken at about 5yds and the group could be covered by a 50 cent piece. I then moved the target back to about 15yd and the group opened up to about 5". That is great shooting for these tired old eyes, and I'm sure that a better shooter could put that to shame. This thing wants to shoot! The Navy rear sight is much better for me to sight with, those old eyes again. I had a couple of failure to extract, and a couple of failure to go into full battery. Part of that is most likely due to the parts not fully mated yet,and part may be the ammo I was shooting (Norinco). I can't wait to try it again with some Wally-World Winchester and see how that goes.
Thanks to Hugh, I now have a new favorite shooter.
