Default Replica SBR Status?

What is the legal status of modern replicas of classic stocked pistols such as the Interarms American Eagle Carbine or the German replica Luger Jagdkarabiner DWM and similar items produced stateside?

Michael, no idea about the Jagkarabiner, but the interarms is this isn't it?

Mauser Parabellum 75th Year Commemorative Luger Karabiner with accompanying shoulder stock.

As all Interarms (real) lugers were made by Mauser??

Ed, I had a dim recollection of Interarms pistol carbines being exempted from SBR registration by name, doubtless owing to Sam Cummings' government connections. But what about replica carbines built on DWM pistol receivers?

Michael, very gray area. I would think that no one would ever question you on it, but it is a legitimate question.

Also, no "interarms" listedin the C&R reg, but they were always the importer anyway. The guy who has it listed on gunbroker, I think he is using the wrong inscription.

I assume that Vlim's new book will explain all that?

Haven't seen you posting much, everything hunky dorey?

I'm afraid that ATF would question the legitimacy of the "Luger-Karabiner Mod. 1900-2000" on my Form 6 import application.

I am blitz-collecting. Bought a 1900 Commercial, two Persian Artilleries, and a 1936 Krieghoff last week. It's a dirty job, but somebody's got to do it.
